On Your Mark.....Get Set.....

GO!

Last night:  Get about 72 inches of rain in 45 minutes.  Realize at midnight-ish that basement is flooding.  Clean up, go to bed about 2:00.

Today:  Get up early because girls get up early (why do they always want to sleep in on weekdays and wake up at early o'clock on the weekends, all ready to play?).  Go to the zoo with Grandma.  Get home and finish birthday party invitations, finish cleaning the basement from the disaster last night, make the kids dinner, haul all the garage sale stuff out to the garage before the girls realize what we're selling and try to talk me into keeping some of it, clean up all the random things laying around the house, clean up the kitchen, sweep and mop kitchen floor, go through all the kid clothes I want to sell in the garage sale and try to determine what I CAN sell and what needs to go to Goodwill.

Tomorrow:  Work.  Leave work early to go to the girls' school for "Moving Up" - meeting their teachers for next year.  Go to my IAAP meeting from 5:30 - 8:00.  Iron Elizabeth's dress for her concert Tuesday (see below).

Tuesday:  Work.  Race home after to give Elizabeth a shower because it's field day at school and she'll be very dirty, sweaty and stinky and she needs to look nice for the choir concert at 6:30 (nice job on the scheduling, school people).  In addition:  miss Trixie's obedience class, also scheduled for Tuesday nights.  But school choir concerts are more important.

Wednesday:  Work.  Nothing else scheduled!  Yay!  Oh wait.  Finish pricing everything for the garage sale.  Get stuff ready for Elizabeth's field trip Thursday.....

Thursday:  Work.  Elizabeth and Greg go on school field trip to the same zoo we were at today.  Go to funeral home in the evening for my friend Al.

Friday:  Work.  Come home and make sure everything is ready to go for the garage sale Saturday.

Saturday:  Get up at early o'clock to get ready for the garage sale.  Interestingly, the girls will NOT want to wake up early to help me, even though it's a weekend and they typically like to wake up early.  Unless work is involved.

I'm tired already!

So you won't be hearing much from me this week.  I will be a little busy.  But school is almost out, so things should slow waaaay down after the 15th.  Whew!

Have a nice week, and I'll talk to you when I can!
